When You Are Old

When you are old and grey and gull if sleep,

And nodding by the fire, take down this book,

And slowly read, and dream of the soft look,

Your eyes had once, and of their shadows dee,

How many loved your moments of glad grace,

And love your beauty with love false or true,

But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,

And loved the sorrow of your changing face,

And bending down beside the glowing bars,

Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled,

And paced upon the mountains overhead,

And hide his face amid a crowd of stars...

this is one of my poem compilations when i was in a poetry class. We had to make a compilation of 15 poems and all these poems should hold the same theme. So i choosed "Life and death" theme. Some people may feel taboo about it but for me it makes me able to appreciate what life has to offer to me!

till then, xoxox
